We enjoyed a beautiful sunrise service this morning~

Then we had a wonderful breakfast. We’ve just spent the rest of the day hanging out at home. It's been nice.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. =)

Saturday morning, I watched a beautiful sunrise…. I was so thankful.

My dad had chemo Friday and he is doing really well. He doesn’t get the regular chemo treatments…he gets medicine directly injected on his liver { he had 4 tumors. } They also treated the arteries that were feeding the tumors to try and slow down the aggressiveness of his cancer.

I don’t think I ever shared these pictures….we took family pictures in October { just before the genius ran off and joined the army }.

We were very pleased how they turned out.

I have some new things to share this week, new treasures and a dining room update.

{ again! lol. }

I missed ya'll! I just got my pc back last night....Howard ( my laptop ) was sick....very, very sick. He's all fixed now and ready to catch up with all of you. :)

~ Color Change ~

Although I have been insanely busy this week~ I was able to capture another beautiful moment. Isn't it amazing how....the day begins a very earthy shade of lavender and gray.

the colors change....so quickly....to vibrant shades of orange and yellows~

Then the sun starts to make an appearance....this is my very favorite time of day.....

to reflect.....to breathe....to believe.

It's been a bit chilly this weekend, so I haven't been working in the flower beds~

I wanted to thank you for all your kind comments on our guest room~ it really means alot to us. The room holds some very special memories and I'm so glad I could share it with all of you. ♥♥♥♥

Now for a little story~

My Mammaw has always been notorious for leaving her keys hanging in the front door~ ever since I can remember....you know as Moms, wives, shoppers ~ we usually come in the door with our hands full. Have to turn off the alarm, let pets out, answer the ringing phone etc all while juggling things in our hands. I have picked up this habit~ ( although the keys aren't hanging there for long ). I like to just leave the storm door closed w/the door open to let some light in the house but I have actually closed and locked the front door behind me with my keys hanging in the lock~grrrr. The genius is the one that has gotton onto me the MOST about this~

Look what the genius did the other day~

Yep~ that's her keys! She walked out of her room while I was taking the picture and she said: " You're blogging this aren't you? " I said " Yes, I am ~ as any good Mommy would do....lol. " The apple doesn't fall far from the tree does it~

We know this isn't a safe practice but I still thought it was funny. :)

P.S. Thank you for your kind words over my Mister~ I'm running a bit of temperature, but I'm fighting it. I took a sick day today. :)
