Before the hurricane hit I discovered a few great places to shop...on-line. I found a place called http//www.keepandshare.com/doc/view.php?u=798234. Also known as Friday Flea Market; there are 65 shops total. Now, who doesn't love shopping? Who doesn't love a good flea market? So early one morning I was browsing around and found http://polkadotrose.net/ Karla & Kristi.....oh what a fabulous blog they share and their flea market finds are TOP NOTCH. Now, I can't believe I'm actually going to share my shopping secret with ya'll but these little treasures where too sweet to pass up.
Look at this sweet hot rolls basket liner....I do love embroidery. :)
Next I found this vintage lipstick holder, note the turquoise jewels on here....ooh la la....this is soooo me. :)
It's just perfect on my antique dresser, don't you think? :)
This oval mirror was another find.....I have two rectangle vanity mirrors but this unique oval shape, stole my heart. :) Karla also sent a cute little candle, with candy and an adorable plate. It's sitting on my desk. Thank you KARLA....you are too sweet. :)
Next, I found Stephanie at http://angelicaccentsalacarte.blogspot.com/
I loved the vintage hairspray can cover, see the little turquoise jewels? Very similar to the lipstick holder I just purchased.
Don't they look great together?
I quickly e-mailed Stephanie. I was in luck, it was still available and when it arrived I was thrilled. :) Imagine finding matching pieces on line....one seller in California and the other seller in Texas. They both also accepted money orders, I really liked that. :)
Then I saw this.....
When it arrived it was prettier than I imagined. It's absolutely GORGEOUS! I already had this glass cloche ( is that what they're called? ) and WHALA~ a fabulous cookie dish. She also sent me 2 beautiful Thomas Kincade postcards. I love them and have put them on my special memory board. Thank you STEPHANIE, you are a doll. :) You should stop by her blog, her tablescapes are amazing.
If you get a chance please stop by & visit the flea market ( but wait until at least 8:00a.m.....lol. )J/K. You should shop early. :) If you love vintage, shabby & craft items....china, quilts & mirrors this is where you should be every Friday morning and the sellers are the sweetest people you will ever meet. :) Have fun!!
