A trip downtown

Hi friends~

Last Wednesday we went downtown for a special dinner. We were going to the Spaghetti Warehouse: a beautiful building that is rumored to be haunted. The waiter even told us a story....hmmmm.

The next 2 pictures were taken while we were on the freeway....

I admit it....I was little scared...

When we arrived I managed to take this picture ( but failed to get a picture of the actual building exterior. ) That's okay Mister promised to take me there again. :)

Once we were inside it started raining. It was so beautiful, I didn't worry about the storm.

Isn't the clock just gorgeous?

Love the stained glass....

Another beautiful window

I nearly fainted over this chandy.... note the beautiful staircase, too.

Loved this picture....

My genius said " Mom, it says DRUGS! " I explained how places like Walgreens used to be called drugstores. Oh, to live in that time, wouldn't that have been something?

I'm not sure what this is but I liked it. :)

I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture of the food....lol. It was good though, trust me. :) My in-laws ( who I love dearly ) met us there and My Mister's aunt who shares the same birthday. We had alot of fun and laughed alot.

Thursday morning I woke up to this sky....it just took my breath away.

I actually had to wear a sweater....

Have a wonderful day!
Hugs~ J.

Thanks for stopping by! Also, this is a beautiful building and so many wonderful furnishings too look at. I used to work in a drug store and my kids can't quite get their minds around that concept either. They used to say that I sold drugs to people which would get me some pretty weird looks. Of course that was long before the big box stores and such. I'm glad you had a nice night, you deserved it!

Hey Jessica!
Girl.... you are a big city girl, ain't you? Look at all those big buildings! LOL! I know I'd get lost around there. Ohhh, this place that hubby took you to is gorgeous, and so romantic looking....I am loving the chandy and other decor inside for sure. I can imagine what a fun time you had with your family and in-laws too. It looks like a very relaxing atmosphere in there. I am sorta glad you didn't take pics of the food in there.... because I am sitting at this computer and getting hungry... it's lunch time. LOL! Hope you have a great day and a happy weekend too!

Hi J :)

That restaurant is gorgeous! Beautiful pictures too.

I just asked Annie if she knew what a drug store was and she said yes and described it to me. I think it's because I talk using old fashioned words and sayings. For instance... who says nuttier than a fruitcake or goofier than a mud fence at my age (39)? LOL

Yes, you have an odd friend in me ;)

hugs,
