Hi friends~
My family & I went on a day trip Saturday to the hill country~ we went to visit my husband's Mammaw & Poppaw....his great grandparents. I was sick with the plague and didn't take alot of pictures but I did get a few. It was dificult because we were following my M-I-L ( I know you are reading this ) :) I kept saying oh, look at the pretty fall color & zoom it was gone....lol. Let's just say we were going a little fast. Love you, Mom! The day started out dark, cloudy & drizzly.....it was cold, too.
This is the city as we were heading out of town.
All of these pictures were taken from the car....
I was in the passenger seat. :)
some pictures are a little dark
but, the colors were so pretty
lots of rolling hills
a bend in the road
more fall color
a gorgeous ranch
a sweet little church
later in the afternoon the sun made a tiny appearance
Ahhh....big city lights....we are home~
Safe & sound....
Sunday morning sunrise
( all of these were taken from our backyard )
Beautiful isn't it?
I love the beginning of a new day
I wasn't able to visit anyone last night, I spent 3 hours on the phone with Dell tech. support ( & $70. ) to get Howard fixed, he wouldn't connect to the internet....uggghhh. But he's all better now. I'll be by this afternoon.
Hope your day is beautiful!
Hugs~ J

As I took my daughter to school I thought of you bz it was a beautiful sunrise! Down by the river it was foggy but the rest of the way was beautiful. You take the most wonderful rides and I assume you live in a pretty rural area? Have a great day today!
Jessica, I loved your little road trip. I never knew that you live in the big city. please, stop by when you get a chance. I have an award for you. Hugs, Terrie
Good Morning Jessica!
There's nothing funner than a road trip...I sure enjoyed this one of yours. It's always so fun seeing somewhere different right from the computer. The sky is so amazing...just beautiful! It's so funny that you said it was hard to get the pics with MIL's driving. LOL! You'd see something you want to take a picture of..... and zoom it was gone, that cracked me up.... it sounds like me...in the car with DH Robert driving...he thinks we have to get everywhere record speed LOL! I am gonna have to break him of that one of these days LOL! Sometimes I have to remind him that we aren't in a hurry. He likes to go fast though....leading the pack! He's so funny! Sometimes I wonder how I am ever gonna be able to blog about stuff when he drives too fast for me to get a picture of anything...LOL! Now, you know the secret of why you don't get to go many places on my blog. I have to give him credit though, and say that he's been very patient with all of my picture taking lately on a couple of our outings. He was a good sport on the last few trips out and about...Now, If I can stop forgetting the camera...that would be really good. LOL! Hope you have a great day!
xoxo,
Queenie
GM Sweet Jess...you always take some of the best pictures girl..I never think to get a picture of the sun rise or any thing to do with nature..great post and hope you had a wonderful trip..hugs and smiles Gloria
o.k. I guess we did get there kinda fast (GRIN) but then who got back to Houston FIRST....?? I Love you so much baby girl!!
I have to tell you I just laughed out loud at your comment about the tape measure bz just last night I went in Travis' room and was measuring to see how big the ironing table could be! He was making fun of me. I think posting that just made it be on my mind so I wanted to make sure and then I put it on the graft paper of the layout of his room with my sewing stuff in it! Poor Trav! Has your daughter already enlisted then? Somehow I guess I missed all this! Every morning when I take Kellianne to school the sun is just rising so I'm usually able to see the sunrise I'm just not as good as you to capture the beauty with my camera bz we're usually on a dead run to beat traffic! Talk to you later!
Oh, I forgot....I definitely would do all your laundry if you clean and cook for me! I was SERIOUS!! I just don't enjoy the cooking and cleaning but I like my house clean and enjoy good food that someone else cooks. Bring it on!
I always enjoy the way you can capture such beauty. Glad your computer is feeling better now.

Jessica, You do such a great job with taking pictures! I need some of that talent! They are gorgeous! Nancy
Evening, Jessica. I hope you and Howard are much better now! I loved going along with you, even if your mother in law drove a little fast!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia :)
Had fun on your road trip...love the little church.
