~ Happy Friday ~

Hi friends~

It's going to be nice this weekend, lower to mid 70's. :) I'm going to piddle around in the yard. I miss this~

I was telling my Mister yesterday that I don't remember our yard ever looking so brown & " crunchy " of course the snow didn't help but it was beautiful. We really haven't had any rain since November.
This year I have lots of plans for our backyard garden. I'm going to add alot more plants, stain the fence and I would love to have a pond....one day. I can't wait to be elbows deep in dirt again, it's such good ' soul ' therapy. :) I'm going to start 'prepping' the beds until I can trim everything back ( after March 15th ). My Pop always said no pruning until then.
Have a great weekend!
Big hugs~ J

I'm so jealous, 70 degrees!! I would hate your summers though with all that humidity. I left an edit on my post about the heat here in the summer. It really doesn't get too bad compared to other places, highest is usually in the low 100s and it's dry heat where you have humidity. Larry went to Dallas a couple of times for work and spent a week each time. He said there's no way to explain the hot sticky heat that Texas gets. Plus my son-in-law is from Texas and he thinks I'm a wimp! He loves the heat here! WOOHOO for Friday for you (me overtime) BUT it's tax day for me WOOHOO! I'm taking a couple of hours off this morning to go and see how much of a refund we get! We certainly need the money right now so I'm excited. We have our taxes set up so we always get some kind of a small refund but I changed my tax status to married but taking taxes out at the single higher rate. I'm hoping it's good this year!

Hi Jessica...I love your blog..your yard is just gorgeous..but let me tell you one thing funny....in Australia... to piddle is to urinate... imagine my reaction with your first sentence. That will be the reaction of all your Aussie friends. Love from Australia. Marilyn

Hey Jessica!
I love your beautiful yard...such pretty landscaping and thick grass. I have never grown grass that looked like that! I know you miss all of the greenery and flowers....I do too! It won't be long...we will be getting our hands dirty soon! Yay! I can't hardly wait for spring...it is like therapy working in the dirt outside and watching the things grow. I am so looking forward to it. We can share our progress....and our flowers. Maybe I can learn how to grow those plumbagos too! Hope you have a beautiful weekend!
big hug,

ARGH...I'm green with envy over your GREEN yard and 70 degree temps!!! I so want it to be spring here! And I hope you get your dream of a pond. I can't tell you how much you're going to enjoy it. We spend countless hours sitting by our pond enjoying the fish, and the frogs. It is so relaxing and the sound of running water is so soothing. You'll never regret the investment.

Jessica, Your yard is so pretty. I don't remember ever seeing these beautiful pictures on RMS. You have a very green thumb. I would love a pond. As you know my sister has 3 of them. They are beautiful. But, she just told me a couple of weeks ago that she wouldn't do it again. It's so much work. I think she may be referring to the Kooi fish during the winter. They struggle to keep it going for the fish. Of course the weather is very cold in Illinois. I am sure in TX isn't would be easier.
Hugs, Terrie

When you get this you should be out on that wonderful patio watching the sunrise. I just wanted to let you know how much your sunrises have lifted my spirits on my cold winter's mornings. I hope it was a great weekend off work and that you have a fantastic day today too! Cindy {{HUGS}}
