~ A Little Peak & A Wish ~

Hi friends,

We have been very busy here at The Cozy Kettle....painting.....everything we could get our hands on. Walls { twice...lol. } chairs, tables and frames.

Hanging dishes, rearranging wall art....making chalk boards. I kept telling everyone....Mister, The Genius & Bear that I didn't mean for this to turn into a full blown project but it did....lol.

Here is a little peak....

{ We put black napkins as a faux runner.....to see what we needed there. }I didn't take a picture without it....sigh. We think the table turned out great and wish we would have painted it a long time ago. I still have a few items to purchase....small items. But, we are looking forward to enjoying Thanksgving dinner right here at our little table. :)

I've had the wall words for over a year and have finally found the perfect spot. I will show ya'll the full room soon....it was 8:00pm when we brought the table in last night....so it was a little late~ I was trying to play with dishes, decor on the hutch....it was dark....and I was tired. :)

We want to wish all of you a very
Happy Thanksgiving!

P.S. What do you think about my 2nd color choice? { winks }

Hi Jessica! Oh, how lovely! I love your new wall color and I adore your sweet table and chairs painted white. It looks like it was always supposed to be like that. Your wall words and plates look so pretty!
Be a sweetie and have a blessed Thanksgiving,
Shelia :)

I like it, I like it! I need to get motivated and do somethings.
Maybe some day I will surprise everyone especially me and get with it.

Okay, it's 10:30 p.m. and I'm just getting around to checking in on you, I'm sooo bad! If I hadn't had to balance my check book online I may not have checked in on you at all today bz it's been that crazy. I love what you've done but can see I definitely picked the wrong colors for your "eye" surprise. Oh well, too late to change it now, lol! The words are wonderful. One of my favorite children's songs in our church has the words "love is spoken here" in it! Also, I have the words "It's A Wonderful Life" up year round in my front room. Love the movie. Love the saying. You've done such a beautiful job and I can't believe you went with white bz I thought you wanted black for the table and chairs. I really need to learn to pay attention.

Oh, and the turkeys. I must confess, I didn't even decorate for Thanksgiving this year. I want to have my Christmas decor up this weekend and I knew if I had to pack up the Thanksgiving decor the Christmas decor wouldn't get done. I better run, 4:30 a.m. comes way too early!

Ohhhh la la....LOVE the room and the color of the walls. Nicely done! :)

PS Yes, you won my drawing for the scarf. hee. Since you live in Texas, please leave me a comment of some items you like and I will send you something that you can actually use! :D

I can't believe I didn't tell you that I like this wall color! Thanks for giving me the hint with the "wink, wink!" It's really beautiful. Oh, and "Love Is Spoken Here" is the title of the song not just part of the lyrics. I hope you have a fabulous Thanksgiving! Cindy

P.S. You've been very, very patient and I've been the bad one. I must admit though, the more I do on it the more I like it. I may have to do something similar for myself! The hardest part is yet to come but will have to wait a day or two. When I post about Sunday you'll know why it's taken me forever this week to do anything! Oh, a final thing - I miss my turkeys too :(

Everything looks so pretty J!
Girl, I know you all have worked so hard on your make-over! Y'all did a great job! You all are fast...ya know that? I love the new color of the walls,(and the words on the wall) and how the white plates, and white table "pop" against the wall color. Very pretty! All of the quotes are so sweet too...that last one is beautiful! I'm lovin' that white milkglass compote too...It all looks beautiful...Thanks for sharing a sneak peek, in the mist of a very busy time, especially with the holidays coming right up! I hope you and your family have a blessed and very happy Thanksgiving!
Big Hugs,
Queenie

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving! I cooked the meal here and it was the first time EVER that the turkey wasn't dry and was ready when I said it would be ready! The next few days are going to be nuts and I don't know if I'll have time to even remember my own name but I'll try to get back to see you. Trav has a friend coming that will be spending the night until after his farewell on Sunday. I don't do overnight guests well, especially this one, but I want it to be how Trav wants it to be so I'll smile and try to enjoy it! Wish me luck Jessica. I'm not good at all at entertaining or things like this and I never know what to expect emotionally from myself right now. It's so crazy bz I'm generally not like this, I promise I'm not!!! Thanks for your friendship and support. It honestly has been helping me cope with this life changing event. :) Me
