~ Thanksgiving~

Hi friends~

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving....we sure did~ Molly, too :)

The Cozy Kettle is in the process of being transformed.... but before we start our Christmas { can you believe it's almost here }decorating I wanted to share a little bit of our Thanksgiving with you.

The Genius, Bear, Mister & I worked really hard preparing dinner....we could not wait for everyone to arrive~

We sat the table pretty except....we cheated and used paper plates. Not very dish~aholic of me is it?

I made Mister's great grandmother's homemade chocolate meringue pie.....{ mine always 'weep' } But this is his favorite part of our meal.

Friday morning we went to the early bird sale @ Kohl's {4:00am} and Bed Bath & Beyond. Crazy I know but the genius & enjoy this time every year. When Mister came home from work he took us to lunch....I had this. Just what I needed right? :)

Then it was time to start decorating!

I just love this time of year~ {& these plates, too...lol.}

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving....so much to be grateful for~

Hope ya'll have a wonderful weekend!

Big hugs~ J

Can you believe I fell asleep at my computer this morning? I'm in so much trouble. I have to type my fingers to the bone to make up the lines before my shift ends but I had to stop by and tell you that this is beautiful! I love how crisp and clean everything looks. I'm doing white in my sewing room for the furniture and I really like it. This way no matter what I'm working on it always looks good! My parents used paper plates all the time. It certainly beats all the dishes! I'm still finishing up dishes from Thanksgiving but that's another story (and not a happy one I must say). I dream of owning a dishwasher again that works, lol! I don't think I've been good enough though for Santa to bring one this year, maybe in two years :) Show us when you're done decorating!!

Clarification: They used paper plates all the time for family dinners and gatherings! They did own nice dishes too, lol! It just sounded funny when I read it back. Okay, I really have to work now!

Okay, the meow confused me? Explanation please :) Did you think I was being catty or did you say "meow" bz you know I'm not such a big fan of cats? My brain is fried so this just didn't compute, Lol! I'm thinking on Monday I need to find a place that serves that delicious-looking delicacy your Mister bought you for lunch! I plan on having a nervous breakdown you know, I just can't fit it into my schedule for another 11 days.

Hey Jessica!
Such a pretty Thanksgiving Photo Mosaic of you and your family! That pie looks delish, (by the way, mine always weep too!) Glad you all had a wonderful day! We do have so much to be thankful for. My mama cooked this year and we went over to her house after DH got home from work. We had a wonderful evening, didn't even get home until 11pm. LOL! I cooked Thanksgiving last year...so I was more than grateful, mama wanted to cook it this year! LOL! It was extra good! LOL! She loaded us down with enough left overs for two days too! Which was a big plus. :)
Your room looks so pretty...I know you all worked so hard to get it done for the holidays...Y'all did great! I love this view with your sweet hutch!
Love the Christmas Plates you found too! Looking forward to seeing your home decked out for the holidays!
Talk to you again soon!
Thanks for stopping by with Happy Thanksgiving wishes too!
Love ya girl!
Big Hugs,
Queenie

Hi Jessica! Oh, I think Molly must have eaten too much turkey! :)
Nothing wrong with using paper plates - so much easier to clean up.
Can't wait to see your pretty home all decked out for Christmas.
Be a sweetie,
shelia ;)
