~ More of Our Senior ~

Here she is....

We are so proud....

Just 6 weeks until graduation.....just 10 weeks before she leaves for the military.
{ sigh. } We are planning a HUGE luau themed graduation party, too. I guess you may guess why I haven't been around much. I think of y'all often.
Have a great weekend~ J

She's such a beautiful young lady! I see you in her eyes, not that they're the same color, but I still see you. Hang in there. Now go and go give her a hug from me and have her give you one from me back! We'll help you make it through this busy, busy, emotional time.

So are you having a full pig with an apple in it's mouth?! I'm going to have to get ideas from your luau for the next one we do in honor of Trav! Ours was pretty boring but it worked for us. I remember graduation and all the excitement I felt with mine. I wish I would have believed in myself more. I think that's what I admire so much about the Genius. She knows who she is and where she's going in life. I still don't know that, lol! Have a great day my friend and thanks for stopping by!

Hey Jessica,
Congratulations to Genius, her portraits are beautiful. :) I know this is a very happy and emotional time for all of you. I completely understand what you are going through. It's happy and sad all at once, sort of even hard to describe... but you nailed it pretty good in your post... with the word "proud". Spend every chance you can with your family...the time does go by too too fast. I am always here for you if you need me. :)

I do know exactly how you feel sweetie, my son graduated last year and it all flew by (prom, graduation, all of last year and this year too for that matter). I have so enjoyed the journey though. Even now, when I look back at my son's prom and graduation pictures....I can't help it, tears fill my eyes. I will always look back on those days with a smile and a tear I'm sure. There will be many more special and happy times to come though and we have a lot more to look forward to. Time spent with our family is truly a gift from above and priceless. My son has been talking to a military recruiter and will soon meet with them. We may be in the same boat J, and so may our kids. I'll let you know how things go for him. I have always told him, that no matter what he decides to do in life, I will always be so very proud of him. As long as he's happy, then I'll be so happy for him too.

I Hope you have a great week my friend.
Big hugs,
Queenie

P.S. I have been painting the living room and hallway walls and trim, and have spend about 32 hours so far on it. Yes, really. haha! I had to prime everything and paint it too...whew, I will be glad to get finished and get everything back to normal again. :) Maybe I'll get finished with it by next week. I'll be sure to share it when I'm done getting things back together. I just wanted to pop in here and see what you've been up to. Didn't mean to write a book here, but gosh, it's been a while since I've been over. :)

I hope the sun is shining on you today. Yesterday we got snow and my old body rebelled! Every joint throbbed and ached and said, ENOUGH!, we want spring already! Had the girls yesterday and just loved being a Grammy. They grow too dang fast.

I miss you too! Glad to hear you're doing well except for the muggy weather and the Texas-sized mosquito! We're too cold to worry about mosquitoes yet thank heavens! Have a fantastic weekend! I'm working as usual and dreaming of winning the lottery so I can quit my job, lol!
