~ Weekend Finds ~

Hi friends~

I hope everyone had a great weekend! We cleaned the garage ( that was SO fun; lol. ) organized some kitchen cabinets, moved winter clothes out for spring/summer clothes etc. Yes, there was a little bit of mission organization going on around here. We had some fun, too~ we went to my favorite little junk store.

I felt drawn to this diary right away~ it's from 1941. I was kind of sad that it was being sold. I wanted it to have a good home, so it 'found' it's way into my little basket and in my heart.

I haven't been able to read through it yet, but it's mostly about the weather, doctor's appointments and ( I know this woman received ) weekly shots.
I'm hoping to find out more about her.

I completely fell in love with this tray~ can you see the little cherubs on the right?
(sorry about the flash )

I thought it would look darling on our kitchen counter~

Now ya'll know I had a FIT over these monogrammed tea towels~

I'm lovin' the look the tray & tea towels bring to the kitchen ~

See that rose on the stove~ it's the same one the genius bought me for Valentines' day~ It's still so pretty. :)

Have a beautiful day!

Big hugs~ J.
P.S. I think I finally figured out how to make my pictures~ clickable ~ YEAH!

Now I'm the one doing cartwheels!! Summer barbecues, a clean house, I can see it all now, LOL! Tootsie says she wants you to live by her but don't you do it....you promised me! LOL!!! How do you make your pictures clickable to enlarge? If you figured it out I could certainly use some help! I've wanted mine to do that but didn't know how. Have a sunshiney wonderful day! Cindy

Poor Jessica, I made your brain hurt! I hope it gives you a good night's sleep. I click and drag my pictures all over the place so I guess that's why they're not clickable. I'll try it your way and see what happens! Oh and don't worry about my health. I need a new right knee in a few years (I'll put it off as long as possible) and I have rheumatoid arthritis so doing things that require alot of physical effort is becoming more and more difficult for me. This is why I have to rely on Larry more and more to help with my projects. Poor, poor Larry. I think I make his brain hurt too! LOL!

P.S. You probably noticed that I talked about having to take antibiotics before I go to the dentist bz of my heart. I just have a leaky heart valve so this is just a precaution. Let's hope my warranty doesn't wear out with Larry....bz he may trade me in for a different/younger/cheaper wife! LOL! There now your brain will really hurt!

Ohhh, Be still my heart....girl, I love your finds! Those monogrammed tea towels are precious and so are your other finds....the tray is gorgeous too and I know that diary is so interesting to look at....it definately got a great home there with you! Your kitchen is so clean and pretty too...amazing that your rose is still looking so pretty. Robert got me a dozen roses for Valentine's and they started looking ratty after 2 days...I don't know what in the world happened to them....they are already dried now and cut down short and now they are in a small glass cup in my bedroom....it didn't take them long to dry upside down. I am glad to be able to keep them.
We've been organizing around here too this week with dh being home...we love to do that...and shhhh, I've been bringing back alot of my sage green into the living room again. I do get tired of things fast so I changed out some throw pillows.....LOL! I must thrive on change or something...that's what I tell myself anyhow! LOL! I had missed my sage green throw pillows ect...it is my neutral and I love it! Oh, before I forget....to answer your question...girlfriend I have no idea what I'm gonna do with the favorite hankies that I'm keeping....I wish I could come up with a witty idea or purpose for them...maybe one day! LOL!
Have a great night!
big hug,
Queenie~

P.S. Girl, I wanted to tell you that your cabinets are pretty with your tile and wall color. Believe me though.....I do understand your wanting some change though....because I have oak cabinets and I have dreamed of painting them like Pickets cabinets, but I know we aren't ever going to. Robert thinks we'd ruin them! LOL! I love the way Pickets turned out. I've seen lots transformations in magazines too and I show Robert them and he still looks at me like I'm crazy.LOL!! I might one day talk him into it, but then again I am afraid to take on something as huge as that...I think I'd rather hire a professional...if I could afford it! LOL! It's amazing what paint can do. I just wanted to tell you that, since you mentioned wanted to paint them. My appliances are white too....and I think me and you have the same wall color! Neat!
Have a great day sweetie!
big hug,
Queenie~
