The Genius~

Some of you may know that our daughter has signed to join the military. She will be leaving a week from today. We will watch her be sworn in next Tuesday...then she will be off to boot camp. Where she will begin the next chapter of her life.
This past weekend and this entire upcoming week.....we will spend as much time together as possible.....
Her time to leave.....came far too fast.

We will fill her dinner requests...watch whatever movies she wants { we watched 2 lifetime movies last night and snuggled together on the couch. } Basically....make each moment count.

Yesterday we unpacked our fall decor while the pot roast was cooking.
Our flag flies year around.
When I see it my heart fills with pride...

More news about our recent adventures...coming soon. :)

One thing is certain....we have enjoyed our beautiful moments together.

We did the same thing when Travis left and my heart remembers well. No worries about not stopping by to see me. The Genius and her leaving is who and what matters most right now. Give her a huge hug from me. I wish her well and hope this career makes all her dreams come true.

P.S. We pray for our service men and women every day and also in our church services. I'll be sure to add her name specifically to our prayers. :)

Helping them fly from the nest is what we're supposed to do. We prepare them to soar and when they do, we hide our tears behind our smiles. You must be so proud of her and you must be so worried about whether or not you've prepared her for the challenges of living an adult life. (I speak from recent experience: my oldest moved out in July...what a journey for us all!) I'm sure she'll be fine and you'll be fine at this exciting time in all of your lives.

Awww, Jessica I cannot believe she's already leaving...I wish her the best in this next chapter of her life.... God Bless your daughter and your whole sweet family. Jessica, I put myself in your shoes mother to mother...and I know this will not be an easy week for you, but at the same time, I know you feel so proud of her...spend as much time as you can together making those memories :)
The beach pics are beautiful...I hope you all have a great week...
Big hugs to you and the Genius too!
