~ A Special Tablescape ~

Welcome to Tablescape Thursday hosted by Susan @ Between Naps on the Porch.

~Thank you Susan for hosting~

This is my third tablescape....it's simple....but very special.

{ I found this plaque at Kirklands }

I have to get things ready....for a very important date. :)

But, first please let me tell you something. Since last week...I have gone a little crazy

DISH CRAZY. :)

I've purchased a creamy white set, a black & white toile set...and some filler dishes. { Marshall's oh how I adore that store } It may take me awhile to find different accessories and better table cloths....but I'll get it together eventually. This white tablecloth ( not my favorite...but you have to use what you have, sometimes :) was purchased for a wedding that was held in our backyard about 3 years ago, since then it's been used for another wedding and a 50th wedding anniversary....all held right here in our backyard.

This pretty blue plate is a 'filler'. I loved the color and pattern.

I wanted a simple setting for dinner with My Mister.... 36 days from today we will celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. I'm getting so excited...marrying him was the best thing I ever did. Our honeymoon was spent on the beach and I wanted to bring that special memory back.

I love the layered look~

I used the silver that was purchased in the 1950's for my grandparents wedding. It's Daffodill by 1847 Rogers Brothers...it's nothing particularly fancy...but it's a treasure.

The candle is from our bedroom and was purchased at Walmart.

It was such a relaxing and peaceful evening together.

I have to tell you~ Mister has yet to call me crazy for my dish frenzy...he always walks in and tells me how nice everything looks....he knows I'm having fun playing with my dishes.

Just simple.

This tablescape didn't cost much....the creamy white box of dishes setting for 6 was $30 and the 4 blue 'filler' dishes were $2.99 each. We will get so much use out of these. I ♥ Marshalls.

Dinner with him....priceless.

Thank you so much for coming by!

Please leave a comment, I would love to hear from you.

Have a beautiful day~ J

Hi Jessica
Your tablescape is gorgeous. You did great, it definately reminds me of the beach. I love the candle and all your pretty dishes. Your kitchen is lovely. Ours is small too so I know what you mean about not having much storage space.

Well, Happy Anniversary! Thank goodness he understands the "dish addiction." Probably why you've had such a long and successful marriage. I adore Marshalls. My favorite place for "dish addicts" like us!

mmmmmmmmm, love those blue plates--such a neat and delicate color. I find my hubby appreciates tablescapes. The one I posted this week wasn't really a tablescape--just a normal day...but when I do put extra effort he loves it!! (as I am sure your hubby will too)

Jessica, you did a beautiful job on creating a very romantic beach themed table. I love your backyard setting & those plates are AWESOME! Yep, you've got the fever. LOL

Congratulations on 10 wonderful years with your sweetie!

You certainly captured the beachy feel! I really need to take time to do this. I have so many dishes but just seem to put them on the table and we eat. I don't take the time to make the table beautiful like you do. I hope it was a good anniversary. Your love for your Mister shines through!

Yeah that was me. I didn't even realize that I had a turkey farm going on around here in November until I posted those pictures last year! I'm starting to wonder if I have pneumonia again. I've had it a couple of times before. This just won't go away and the cough is so deep and nonproductive. I'm off work in three hours and then I get to lie around all weekend (at least until my night shift Sunday) so hopefully that will help me kick it. Our church has it's general conference televised this weekend with 4 hours on Saturday and 4 hours on Sunday. I usually sew or do housework during it but this weekend I think I'll just be lazy and lie under my best friend the humidifier and see if I can finally kick this! Thanks for caring. Oh, can I say I think you're cute under the effects of your anesthesia, lol! I didn't delete you, you just didn't comment I guess! Take care. Maybe next week we'll both be back to "normal," whatever that is!

Oh, girl you and mister are the sweetest most beautiful couple! I love the romantic style tablescape that you created...it's gorgeous, and I love those blue dishes too! I had seen those at Marshall's a while back...I wish I had gotten some of those! I was drawn to them, but then I had a flash back in my mind, I remembered that my walls were green. now LOL! It wouldn't have made a difference...I should have grabbed them anyway. Lucky girl...finding all of these great dishes! Keep having fun playing with your dishes sweetie....I love seeing your tablescapes!
Big hugs,
Queenie
