Hi friends~
Many of you were asking our house project is going. For those of you who don’t know….we are investing in this property to get it ready to go on the market.
So far, we have replaced the roof, the fence & the fascia and soffit. New shutters were also installed and it now has a fresh coat of paint.
Here is the before…..
This is the so far…..
The paint color is Shady Willow by Behr. I love the sage grey color. I also chose black shutters.
The interior work will begin this coming weekend. I will show you all the before photos. The house has been without electricity and water for a few months. The utilities will be turned on Thursday and we are having a home inspection done Friday. Due to the age of the house and it’s present condition we decided an inspection was a good investment.
I also hope to begin the yard work this coming weekend. It needs a good edging, fertilizing and I have a plan for the beds that run along the entire front of the house. It will be full of color. We also purchased a beautiful piece of wrought iron to hang on the brick between the front 2 windows. The fun part is really about to begin = yay!

I think you nailed it! The black shutters are perfect with the roof and the color of the trim. I'm excited to see the piece you picked out for between the windows. I've always wanted black shutters on my house but it just hasn't happened. Maybe when we get ready to put it on the market. I'm hoping for next year but the economy and my husband aren't being agreeable to that! I'm excited to see what you do with the inside to. Oh, and smart move on a home inspection. I want Mike Holmes to inpsect mine, lol! I think he's a pretty hot guy along with Scott McGilvray! Yeah, I don't watch much TV but I do enjoy, Holmes on Holmes and Income Property! Larry always said that I should have been a realtor bz I love to watch Property Virgins too and House Hunters. I just need the $$$$ to make my own home fabulous but that' won't happen for awhile so I'll just have to be patient and watch what you do with your's!
